Join Master Food Preserver, CCE Nutrition Educator, and professional cook of 25 years, Janie Greenwald in 2017 as she hosts Kitchen Classes designed to increase your enjoyment of time spent in the kitchen. Each class fee is $35.00.Two or more classes: $30.00 each class.
SPICES FROM AROUND THE WORLD Wednesday, February 1, 2017 6pm-8pm
Explore the history, uses, care, and blending of spices from around the world. Make your own signature spice blend to take home.
KITCHEN KNIVES EXPLAINED Wednesday, March 1, 2017 6pm-8pm
Learn classic knife skills you will use forever. Slice, dice, julienne, chiffonade, and filet! Learn how to select the best knife for the job and how to care for your knives. Take home your sliced veggies.
SUSHI ROLLING Wednesday April 5, 2017 6pm-8pm
Beginners’ class. You will learn the specific equipment, foods and rolling method needed to make classic sushi rolls. Surprise your family and friends at your next pot luck or family meal.
BOILING WATER BATH Wednesday, May 3, 2017 6pm-9pm
Have fun preparing your own hot sauce as you learn the Boiling Water Bath method of canning. Can it and take home a jar!
All classes provide safe and reliable information and are a completely hands on experience.
