4-H Teen Council

Ulster County 4-H Teen Council

For youth ages 13-19

We are the youth voice for the next generation of hard working passionate leaders. We believe in having a fun and exciting time while helping our community.

Teen Councils core mission is to help our community and support Cornell Cooperative Extension of Ulster County. Our yearly community service project is Adopt-A-Family at the holiday's. We have also supported the American Flag Pillows for Veterans project and Adopt a Platoon. Teen Council also supports Cornell Cooperative Extension of Ulster County 4-H by purchasing trophies for the UC Fair 4-H shows, providing 1/2 scholarships to Career Explorations and supporting the annual 4-H Golf Tournament.

Milkshake Booth and Other Events

Ulster County 4-H Teen Council club members are the core group that make the decision of what community service projects will be adopted, what activities the club will sponsor, and what direction the year will take. If you would like to join, our meetings are the second Wednesday of each month and alternate between New Paltz and Kingston. Join us and volunteer at the fair milkshake booth for at least 8 hours to be eligible to participate in Teen Council Activities such as the NYC Broadway Play Trip, Christmas Yule Ball, Kalahari trip and the Headless Horseman Hayride outing. (Trips/activities are set by Teen Council youth and vary each year.)

Community Service Project Proposals

Teen Council is open to helping other clubs with their community service projects. Do you have a project you would like to do but don't have enough help or funds? Come make a presentation to the Teen Council group and they will help you organize, fund, and carry out your community service project.

Make a difference in your community!

Help 4-H and Cornell Cooperative Extension!

Have fun and make friends!
