Healthy Communities Program
CCE Ulster's Healthy Communities
Program provides education and support, along with policy, systems and
environmental change within the community to enable residents of Ulster County
to strengthen families and achieve healthier lifestyles. We envision a community where physical activity opportunities are safe,
accessible, and commonplace and where healthy food is readily available for all. The Healthy Communities Program covers a wide array of programming including nutrition, parenting, climate change, health, and community action.
Health and Community Development Programs:
-
Healthy Ulster Council: The Healthy Ulster Council, an Ulster County Department of Health community coalition, is facilitated with assistance from Cornell Cooperative Extension Ulster County. program (Columbia-Greene, Dutchess and Ulster Counties) focused on climate
resiliency. CCE Ulster is working with municipalities on Climate Smart Resiliency
Planning Tools, Flood Preparedness Guides and a Water Infrastructure Inventory.
