Join the staff of Cornell Cooperative Extension for an exciting chance to sample our many diverse programs and opportunities. Come for an afternoon of exploration and education at the Ashokan Center.

About the Event

The Cornell Cooperative Extension Ulster County Showcase event is the perfect way to find out about the wide variety of programs and services we offer to you and the community. Whether you're looking to learn something new or looking to get involved in your community, the Showcase event has something for everyone.

Registration Information

Children Welcome

There is no charge for children under 5, but they must have parent supervision throughout the event. The educator supervised youth activities are for children aged 5 to 12. Teens are welcome to attend and may be able to participate in the youth activities if the capacity has not been reached.

Reduced Cost Registration

If the registration fee presents a hardship, there may be funds available to reduce the cost of your ticket. Please request reduced a cost ticket by contacting the office by emailing ulster@cornell.edu or calling (845) 340-3990.

Refund Policy

There are no refunds, all sales final. If you are unable to attend the event, you may be able to send someone in your place. Please contact the office to ask if this is possible by emailing ulster@cornell.edu or calling (845) 340-3990.

Age Restrictions

All ages are welcome. There is no charge for children under 5, but they must have parent supervision throughout the event. They will not be able to participate in the youth activities as they are targeted for ages 5 to 12.

If you're staying for our dinner & conversation hour:

Individuals: $20

Families/Households (up to 4 members): $40

If you are not staying for the dinner:

Individuals: $10

Families/Households (up to 4 members): $20

Keynote Presentation

Dr. Scott Peters, History, Impact and Potential Futures of Cooperative Extension

Historian and professor Scott Peters has dedicated over two decades to examining the dynamic relationships that scientists, scholars, and extension educators at land-grant universities have with the communities they serve. Dr. Peters is a Professor in Department of Global Development at Cornell University's College of Agriculture and Life Sciences. A full biography is available here.
