2026 New Beginning Farmer Workshop

Join us for the 2026 New and Beginning Farmer Workshop at the CCE Ulster County office in Kingston on Saturday, March 7, 2026. This hands-on program features short, practical workshops led by presenters from CCE, and partner agencies ( SWCDs, Hudson Valley Research Lab, Ulster County Planning Department, HVADC) - built to help new and aspiring farmers establish strong fundamentals and move from planning to implementation.
Ulster County is home to a diverse agricultural community, and this event offers a high-impact opportunity to learn, ask questions, and connect directly with specialists and technical assistance providers. Session topics include local farming resources, information on agricultural districts, agroforestry, integrated pest management (IPM), business planning, crop insurance resources, and more.
In the end of the program, enjoy a networking session to meet fellow farmers, connect with regional partners, and discuss your future farming plans.
