Interested in learning how to preserve your produce? Join our CCE Educator & Master Food Preserver for an introduction to water bath canning. Learn about the equipment and food science of canning. This workshop will cover how to safely and properly use a water bath canner to make vinegar-based pickles, jams and jellies, and more. Water bath canners can be used to can high-acid or acidified foods for longer storage. This class will include a hands-on demonstration of canning a pickled vegetable recipe and a chance to taste the finished product.
Space is very limited and registration is required. Attendees must be 18 years or over and sign a waiver to participate.
