Due to the changes in ArcGIS' account structures, we will be moving to a new format and rebuilding this map as the Ulster County Fresh & Local Guide.
Connect with local buyers We invite local farmers to join our initiative to support local agriculture. This initiative aims to highlight our local farms, foster community connections, and promote fresh, locally produced food and its growers.
By participating, you will get your farm featured in our online guide. Your information will be used to create a detailed profile on a map exclusively featuring Ulster County farms. This map will be displayed on our website making it easier for local buyers to find and connect with you. Simply follow the link, fill out the form with your farm information, and get listed in our guide.
Supporting local producers and agriculture is crucial for the health and welfare of our community and economy. The agriculture sector drives Ulster County's economy, providing an abundance of fresh, tasty produce and other goods. Our goal is to connect local farmers with buyers, fostering a sustainable food system that benefits everyone in our region.
Due to the changes in ArcGIS' subscription structures, an ArcGIS account is required to view this map.
The Hudson Valley Regional Food Systems Map is aims to strengthen our understanding of our food system for more effective, responsive, and sustainable food systems work. All parts of the food system, including farms, processing, distribution, retail, and compost are represented on this map. All of the data on this food map has been collected directly from farmers and/or consolidated from online sources, which are hyperlinked for each location.
Checking the boxes next to an item in the Layers List panel will reveal the locations that apply to the category. You can then click on a data point for more information about the location.
