Creating Healthy Places to Live, Work & Play

The CHP program was funded by a grant from the NY State Department of Health through September 2015.

Cornell Cooperative Extension of Ulster County's Creating Healthy Places to Live, Work & Play (CHP) project and partners worked to create policy, systems, and environmental changes in Ulster County to improve access to healthy foods and opportunities for physical activity. The CHP website:  http://www.creatinghealthyplacesulster.org/.  

Project Initiatives included:  Complete Streets, Community Gardens, Healthy After School Snacks, Mobile Market, The Kingston Greenline, Healthy Neighborhood Stores, and Use Your Parks.

Project Partners included:  City of Kingston Parks and Recreation, Ulster County Department of Health, YMCA, Kingston Land Trust, and CCEUC.
