Building a People Centered Economy

How do we future proof our community? How do we prepare for the challenges we face including climate change, labor, a housing crisis, and food insecurity, as well as the unforeseen hurdles like a global pandemic?

Ulster County convened a group to explore some of these questions. The 2040 Panel brought together a diverse group of thinkers - they created a vision of a people centered economy focused on ag, clean energy, makers, and health.

Join us to hear more from the Ulster 2040 Working Group's coordinator, Tim Weidemann, Director of the Ulster County Department of Economic Development. Following the presentation, learn what CCE did in 2021 and how we are planning for a future that is more resilient, equitable and locally independent.

Read the Ulster 2040 Final Report on the Ulster County website.

The Annual Meeting conducts official business of the association including a review of 2021 programming. This meeting is free and open to the public. You must register online via Zoom to receive the meeting login information.
