4-H Public Presentations is perhaps the most important youth development program we provide and is cited by our alumni as having long lasting benefits to their lives and careers. Through this program youth develop self-confidence and poise, learn to express their ideas clearly, and gain knowledge on a subject of their choosing. Youth give presentations in different areas: Cloverbud (4-H ages 5-7), Demonstration, Illustrated Talk, Creative Communications, Formal Speech, and Teen Interview (youth 13+) and receive feedback from two volunteer Evaluators. Those with exceptional presentations can progress to district competitions, and state level clinics. This program is offered free of charge to all 4-H members.
Information sessions will be happening on Feb 19th (Beginner focus) and March 5th (Experienced 3+ yrs presenting) at 6pm at the CCEUC Office. Please register your attendance here. These are considered mandatory for public presentation independent members.
The next County Public presentations will happen on March 30th at SUNY Ulster's Stone Ridge campus- registration coming soon.
