4-H Public Presentations is perhaps the most important youth development program we provide and is cited by our alumni as having long lasting benefits to their lives and careers. Through this program youth develop self-confidence and poise, learn to express their ideas clearly, and gain knowledge on a subject of their choosing. Youth give presentations in different areas: Cloverbud (4-H ages 5-7), Demonstration, Illustrated Talk, Creative Communications, Formal Speech, and Teen Interview (youth 13+) and receive feedback from two volunteer Evaluators. Those with exceptional presentations can progress to district competitions and state level clinics.
We also need adult volunteer evaluators. This is a great opportunity to engage local youth on their performance and help them improve their skills. Please register for our March 19th New Evaluator Training and find out how you can join our public presentations event.
Please note: Youth must enroll in the 4-H Program to participate. If you are a new enrollee, attendance at one of the information sessions is mandatory. To enroll, please fill out the enrollment form and bring it with you to the information session. The enrollment fee is waived for this event!
