Join us for "Finishing Cattle on Grass: Tips and Techniques for Livestock Producers", a FREE presentation and roundtable discussion with Mackenzie Waro, Livestock Manager for Strauss Grass Fed Beef, and CCE Ulster County Livestock Educator, Jason Detzel.

Strauss is a third-generation family-owned and -operated meat company dedicated to sourcing all-natural, chef-quality meat. The company works hand-in-hand with family farmers to adhere to stringent raising practices, resulting in delicious, flavorful grass fed beef.

Developing a grass based livestock system requires detailed planning in both the production and marketing sides of your business. Successful farm businesses must be able to earn a fair price for their work and they must be able to produce a quality product.

We will focus on what it takes to produce quality carcasses on grass alone, new emerging grass fed markets, and ways that small farmers can access these markets. Learn about upcoming classes and opportunities to expand your knowledge of grass based farming through Cornell.
