2018 Catskill Science Conference

Attend the Catskill Environmental Research & Monitoring (CERM) Conference from October 24-26, 2018 to explore human and natural system interactions and implications for water quality, biodiversity and ecosystem health in the Catskills. This three-day conference features a keynote address, invited and contributed presentations, a poster session and mixer, and field trips and workshop. 

Conference sessions will include presentations on recreation ecology, soil-plant relationships, development impacts, sediment studies, hydrology, wildlife, and human influences on biodiversity of the Catskill Mountains.

A breakfast research workshop is open to students and faculty interested in conducting research in the Catskills. A limited number of scholarships are available for students to attend.

Field trips are planned to mountain top and stream valley locations and offer the chance for researchers and managers to network and plan research projects.
