Learn to Hatch Chickens

Join Livestock Educator, Jason Detzel, for a class on hatching chickens.  Hatching chicks can teach you and your family lessons that will last a lifetime!  In this course you will learn:

  • The biology and process of hatching eggs
  • How to manage your chicks once they hatch
  • The best way to hatch chicks using an incubator
  • Ways to treat and manage common health problems of chicks
  • How to successfully raise your chicks into maturity
  • How to recognize broody birds and hatch eggs the natural way using mother hens

Children and adults are welcome (children 12 and under are free, but must be accompanied by an adult).  Registration is $10 per person, or $10 for a family/household up to 3 people ($20 for 6) (not including children).
