Learning in the Garden Series

The Master Gardener Program is hosting FREE gardening classes through their “Learning in the Garden" series.  Classes take place on the 3rd Saturday of each month, June through October, starting at 10 am, rain or shine, and lasting about an hour (except for the Plant Sale, which runs from 10 am – 12 pm).

Classes are appropriate for gardeners of any level, and are being held at the Master Gardeners Program’s award-winning Xeriscape garden at SUNY Ulster (491 Cottekill Road in Stone Ridge).

  • June 17:  Tick Talk, Keeping them out!  
    Join Barbara Campbell, a veteran Master Gardener, as she shares her extensive knowledge on Lyme disease and how to keep the ticks away from you and your garden.
  • July 15:  Building a Bug “Hotel”
  • August 19:  Wildlife Proofing your Garden
  • Sept 16:   Annual Master Garden Plant Sale *10 am – 12 pm
    Proceeds benefit the Master Gardener Program
  • October 21:  Putting your Tools away, the right way
