Maltby Hollow Stream Assessment Presentation

  • Monday, December 19, 2016, 6:00 PM - 7:30 PM

Join us to hear Shaun McAdams, project manager for the consulting firm Barton & Loguidice, describe the results of a stream and bank erosion assessment carried out on Maltby Hollow Brook over summer 2016. The assessment mapped where the stream channel is stable and healthy, and where the stream is eroding and threatening public infrastructure and water quality. Bank erosion sites were identified for treatment.

The work was conducted for the Town of Olive and will help to prioritize future stream restoration.

Residents of Maltby Hollow and the interested public are invited to attend! Call (845) 688-3047 for more information.

A project of the Ashokan Watershed Stream Management Program (AWSMP) and the Town of Olive. The AWSMP is a collaboration between Cornell Cooperative Extension of Ulster County, the Ulster County Soil and Water Conservation District, and the NYC Department of Environmental Protection.
