Ninette is the Creating Healthy Schools Coordinator. She is a registered dietitian nutritionist who holds a bachelor's degree in communication disorders from SUNY New Paltz and a master's degree in nutrition from Kansas State University. She has experience working in a HeadStart preschool where she did fun cooking and food play lessons with the kids and worked with teachers and parents on how to increase healthy eating habits for the whole family. One of her favorite passions is teaching parents and caregivers how to make fruits and vegetables more appealing for children so that they are more likely to try them.

In her 20s, Ninette spent a lot of time traveling in Central and South America, volunteering on farms, and learning natural building techniques. This sparked her interest in gardening and, ultimately, nutrition. When not working, you can probably find her on a hike with her dog, trying out a new recipe, or reading a book.
