2024 4-H County-Wide Photography Lab

  • Monday, January 8, 2024, 6:00 PM - 7:30 PM
  • Monday, February 5, 2024, 6:00 PM - 7:30 PM

Ulster County's 4-H county-wide youth photography lab is an educational initiative designed to empower our 4-Hers with photography skills. Through a combination of workshops, hands-on activities, and mentorship, participants will learn the art of photography, from basic camera operation to composition and lighting techniques. This project encourages self-expression, fosters artistic development, and will culminate in a gallery show where young photographers can display their work. Participants will also receive a project certificate at the end of the year.

All project sessions will take place at our CCE office in Kingston; while the project will finish with a gallery showcase, we will also make sure that lessons support those who want to submit projects to the Ulster County Fair.

Please note: due to space and resources, this project is currently limited to 12 participants and is not open to Cloverbuds. We will provide Cloverbud Clinics in photography on separate dates, and our photography county project leader is also available to assist interested club/project leaders to bring photography to youth across the county.

Participants must commit to and attend all six sessions to be eligible for a certificate.
