4-H Livestock Judging Clinic

  • Saturday, October 22, 2022, 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM

Join us for a regional youth livestock judging clinic on Saturday, October 22nd from 9:00 am to noon at the Orange County Education Center and 4-H Park. This outdoor program led by CCE Ulster and CCE Orange Counties will allow youth at all levels (beginner, intermediate, advanced) the opportunity to practice livestock judging with livestock and judges.

Youth will learn the principles of livestock judging and practice judging through interactive stations with live animals and livestock judges. At the end of the program, youth will receive feedback from livestock judges about their experiences with judging and how the judging skills they have developed helped them in their animal science careers. Livestock judging is an animal science career opportunity, and practicing judging is an excellent opportunity to develop effective communication, decision-making, and public speaking skills.

Youth in the southeastern New York 4-H district are encouraged to participate! There is no cost to attend. Please register at the below link by October 8th.

Bring a notebook/paper and pen/pencil with you to the clinic!
