This year, our Hudson Valley Gives Day campaign is based on the idea of Access & Accessibility. We ask you to give where you live to help us serve the Ulster County community members who need our programs the most. Our model is low-to-no cost and even waiving our registration fees isn’t enough to guarantee all members of the community will be able to make use of our services.
Cornell Cooperative Extension Ulster County is dedicated to making our programs available and accessible to every person who lives, works, or recreates in our county. It’s not only part of our mission, but also of our operations. We want to eliminate the barriers that can prevent people taking part in what CCE offers. The people who need our resources and research-based solutions the most often face the most barriers to participating.
We’re asking you to Give Where You Live to help offset the burden. This Hudson Valley Gives Day we’re raising funds to increase the accessibility of our programs to all your neighbors. Your donations will go to reducing those barriers. Access to transportation, availability of childcare, the need for an interpreter or translator, or even providing refreshments for those who are coming directly from school or work. Sometimes it’s the simplest of things that will enable individuals to take part in our programs. That’s why donations collected from our Hudson Valley Gives campaign will be intentionally unrestricted. This means that the funds can be used in any way necessary to make it easier for those in need to participate in our programs since we never know exactly what shape their barriers take.
Give where you live on May 15th and help put research-based solutions in the hands of your neighbors who need it the most.
Make your contribution before the end of the day on May 15!
