Justin grew up in the Southern Tier region of New York, a generation apart from when most of his family was involved in commercial farming. He has since lived in Vermont, Washington State, and Montana, and has been involved in agriculture since 1999. Justin Has a working background on several farms whose products included mixed vegetables, fruits, maple syrup, and shiitake mushrooms. Justin worked also worked with Montana State University's cropland weed ecology lab and the cropping systems lab where he conducted agronomic and soil research on legume green manures, nitrogen management, and soil health in wheat systems. Justin is pleased to be working with Cornell and agriculture in his home state, and to be working with the diversity of farms and growers in Ulster County.
