So, we're mostly all stuck at home--except for those heroic souls providing medical and other needed services. Well, you're in luck, because the Turning the Tables: Cooking to Thrive in the 21st Century, our cookbook-in-progress, is all about cooking with what you've got on hand! We knew this cookbook would be helpful in the future, but who knew it would be so soon?
So far we've created about a dozen master recipes (or unrecipes, as we like to call them). Many of them are a square meal, all are good for the earth, delicious, easy, and healthy! We would love it if you try them and let us know how it goes, and we'll thank you in the cookbook for it, too!
The Turning the Tables Cookbook Club is held at CCEUC on first Fridays, but the office is closed right now. We've decided to have the next meeting on Zoom, an online app that allows us to meet via video from your phone, tablet or computer. It's easy to set-up but does take a few minutes, so allow a little extra time to log in.
Usually, I bring a tasting from a new recipe to our cookbook club meeting, but since we're meeting online I'm going to change it up. Let's make frittatas together! Here's what to do:
It will be fun and interesting to see how our frittatas turn out. And if you don't want to cook, you can watch our homecooking capers and cheer us on! (Excessive giggling encouraged!)
