We know it’s still chilly outside, but start dreaming: luscious berries, extra-large asparagus, and flowering native dogwoods. There’s something for everyone at this year’s seedling sale! Our featured plant, new this year (drum roll, please): Rosa Rugosa. This native, deer resistant, low maintenance, sweetly scented rose has an extended bloom time and is a prolific producer of hips for food and medicinal use. They will be sold in pairs as bare root seedlings that can flower in pink, purple, and white.

Back again are our tried-and-true blueberries, blackberries, and red raspberries; they will be joined this year by June-bearing Cavendish strawberries, known for their hardiness and high yields. And also we’re adding the popular Bartlett pear tree, since they are semi self-fertile, you need only one!

Veggie growers will get a payback year-after-year from vigorous, disease-resistant Jersey Knight asparagus and vigorous Macdonald rhubarb (think strawberry rhubarb pie!). Finally, who can resist flowering shrubs? Our native plant bundle includes two each of five proven successful varieties: White Flowering Dogwood, Elderberry, Black Chokeberry, Kousa Dogwood, and Eastern Redbud.

To place your order, print out and mail in or drop off the order form. The deadline for orders is March 15. Act now so you won’t be disappointed.
