Grape Growers Potluck and Educational Meeting

Commercial grape growers are invited to a series of educational potluck dinners over the winter and into early spring.  Jim O’Connell, Sr. Resource Educator for Grapes and Small Fruits for the Eastern NY Commercial Horticulture Program (ENYCHP) is reaching out to growers to get to know them in a less formal setting. 

First Potluck and Educational Meeting

Date and time:  December 7, 2016 starting at 5:30 pm

Location:  Red Maple Vineyard, 103 Burroughs Dr., West Park NY 12493

Guest speaker:  Tim Lampasona, Entomology Laboratory Research Technician at Cornell's Hudson Valley Research Lab in Highland, NY.  Tim will discuss insect pests in grapes with a focus on spotted wing Drosophila, and if time allows, spotted lantern fly, an invasive currently in Pennsylvania.

This event is free, but please sign up in advance so we can plan for materials.
