Pasture Soil Sampling and Grass ID Workshop

Join us for a Free workshop on Soil Sampling and Grass ID for livestock producers.  This is a collaborative effort between Cornell Cooperative Extension (CCE) of Orange and Ulster counties and the Natural Resources Conservation Service.  

Participants will have an opportunity to take a walk with instructors, local CCE Livestock Educators Jason Detzel and Rachel Moody, to review the forage in the fields and its value as forage for livestock, and learn how to gauge the health of the pasture stands.  We will also be providing a demonstration on the usage of soil augers and how to collect your own soil samples.  

The clinic will be held rain or shine, at the Watswyck Ranch, 60 Sinsabaugh Road in Pine Bush, NY.
