Justin grew up in the Southern Tier region of New York, a generation apart from when his family was last involved in commercial farming. He has since lived in Vermont, Washington State, and Montana, and has been involved in agriculture since 1999. Justin has a working background on multiple farms whose products included mixed vegetables, fruits, maple syrup, and shiitake mushrooms. Justin also worked with Montana State University's cropland weed ecology lab and cropping systems lab where he conducted research on legume green manures, nitrogen management, and soil health in wheat systems. He is pleased to be working with Cornell and agriculture in his home state, and to be working with the diversity of farms and growers in Ulster County and the greater Hudson Valley.
