Are you a teen 14+ that wants to be part of meaningful dialogue about race and racial identities? The Act for Change Teen Anti-racism Program uses facilitated peer dialogue to challenge racism and racist structures and builds bridges across created differences. It is unlike other anti-racism programs in that it relies on the input and participation of its teen participants to make a change. The program is engaging with Teen Talk breakout rooms, games and polls, short video clips to discuss, and more. Teens will be coached to act for racial healing for the community in which they live, and participate in a final video showcase. Youth participants are expected to attend weekly meetings from the week of June 30th to the week of August 18th. Meetings take place twice a week on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
The deadline to apply is June 18th, 2021. Applicants will be notified of their status no later than June 22, 2021.
