4-H Clubs

The Ulster County 4-H Youth Development Club Program has hundreds of active members. Under the guidance of trained leaders, club members learn new skills and have fun completing 4-H projects.

Ulster County 4-H Teen Council

Location: New Paltz and Kingston (alternating)
Meets: Second Wednesday of each month
Type of Club: 4-H Teen Council is a county wide 4-H club
Club Projects: Community Service, Leadership
Requirements: Age 13-19
Accepting new members: Yes.

We are the youth voice for the next generation of hard working passionate leaders. We believe in having a fun and exciting time while helping our community.

Highland

4-H Animals Around the World

Location: Highland
Meets: 2nd Monday of each month at 6:00
Club Projects: Environmental Education, Earth Sciences, Outdoor Exploration, Farming Practices.
Requirements: Ages 10-18

We are a 4-H Club dedicated to Environmental Education/Earth Sciences, farming practices and outdoor education.

Sojourners 4-H Club

Location: Highland
Meets: 2nd Thursday of each month at 6:00pm
Club Projects: STEM activities, Small Animals, Baking.
Requirements: Ages 7-18

We are a diverse club interested in all things science (from computers and robots to our local geology), community service, environmental conservation and small animals (pocket pets, poultry). 

Kingston

Crafty Clovers

Location: Kingston
Meets: 3rd Friday at 4:30pm
Club Projects: Photography, Art, Woodworking, Sewing, Crocheting, Baking, Public Presentations.

Requirements: Ages 5-18

We work hard at photography, baking, art, and other skills. Each year we build upon what we did the year before.

New Paltz

4-H Animals & Company

Location: New Paltz
Meets: Every Saturday at 10:00am
Club Projects: Animal Science, Auction, Community Service, Beginner Farming.
Requirements: Ages 5-18.

4-H Connectors

Location: New Paltz

Meets: 1st Wednesday, last Sunday of each month.

Club Projects: Civic Engagements, Arts and Crafts, Graphic Arts, Visual Arts, Gardening, Wood Science, Industrial Arts.

Ulster County 4-H Muttmasters

Location: New Paltz
Meets: Fall and Spring 10 week series, Tuesdays at 6:30pm
Type of Club: Dog Obedience
Requirements: Ages 8-19. Dog must be at least 6 months old and have current rabies certificate.
Accepting new members: Yes

We teach varying levels of dog obedience. Grooming, handling and rally obedience as well as responsible dog care.

Pasture Pets

Location: Gardiner
Meets: Third Sundays at 6:00pm
Club Projects: Horse and Cattle

We specialize in horses, goats and cattle. Everyone is welcome!

Swedish Zhetlands

We are a club driven by the interests of its members. We learn about animals, baking, sewing, photography and community service, among other interests, and we are always looking for new topics to explore.

We are a 4-H Club of mostly teenage girls with a focus on animal science, goal setting and community service.

Wallkill

4-H Animal Squad

Location: Plattekill
Meets: 2nd and 4th Monday of every month at 6:00.
Club Projects: Small and Large Animals (Rabbit, Poultry, Goat, Sheep, Dog), Community Service, Crafts.
Requirements: Ages 5-18 with a love of animals

We are primarily animal-oriented. We are currently participating in Rabbit, Poultry, Goat, Pocket Pet, Dog and Cat projects. Our members have also done horse and swine projects in the past. We do numerous community service projects, participate in public presentations, arts and crafts and knowledge-based competitions (rabbit decathlon, goat bowl, livestock skillathon). We are a large and busy club that requires parent volunteers to participate in our program.
